I developed a series of twelve images centered around signage in 2006. In 2007 it was selected from over 30,000 submissions during 2006 to be permanently featured on CollegeBoard.com.
Every year Purdue Campus House distributes activity books to advertise events and schedules for the coming semesters. I was put in charge of finding imagery and laying out all the typograhy and graphics for this project. Because it involved so many people on staff and lots of copy, I learned a great deal about communication and project management, as well as the importance of meeting the printer deadline since this was a rush project.
Global Connect, a program at Purdue University designed to connect international students to locals, requested some promotional material about who they are and their annual trip to New York City.
Every month Purdue Campus House sends out newsletters to its alumni and financial supporters. I work mostly with InDesign to lay out all the typography and graphics as well as Photoshop to edit and color-correct the photos being used. I am also involved in the pre-press production and proofing of the newsletter before it is sent out.
University of South Carolina's Sports Medicine department requested an advertisement for the 2009-2010 sports season to be featured in handouts and displays at all of their home football and basketball games.
Greyhouse Coffee & Supply Co. needed some fresh print material to market their coffees and teas. After meeting with staff and learning about the vision of Greyhouse, I developed two brochures that are distributed among tables at the shop and packaged in their gift boxes.
(I also got some free espresso on top of it. Yeah man!)
I did this purely for my own amusement one night instead of studying for finals (is that bad?). I absolutely love photography and it's a big hobby of mine, so after taking some pictures around Lafayette I decided to play with an image I took of a tree branch.
Welcome to my first portfolio website built in all Flash using Actionscript 3.0. I love the unique style this portfolio boasts and I'm pretty sure those all-nighters were worth it.
Oh yeah, did I mention I integrated XML data into this website as well to make updating easy and hassle-free?
Christ the King church hired me to design and execute all the necessary steps to give them a brand new website. After many meetings with staff and long hours spent researching current church website trends, a contemporary-yet-classic xHTML/CSS/Javascript design was approved to reflect the target audience of the church.
Faulkner Strategies, a political consulting/direct-mail/design firm, requested a Flash website to showcase their fun and creative side. I learned not only a great deal about Flash, Actionscript and XML, but also project management, meeting deadlines, and collaborating with other designers.
Usability was also a huge issue with this website due to its unique theme.
Pencil, 2008. For a class assignment we had to draw a skull, so I picked out the scariest looking animal I could find.
Pencil, 2008. I've always been a sucker for vintage cars, so drawing this convertible was right up my alley.
